This mission uses the same map as the one in Saving Private Ryaff. Automatons can be found in any of the rooms at the N, E, S and W points of the map (same rooms where you fight chigoes in S.P.R.), 2 per room (one room won't have any). You'll need to return at least 4 of the 6 automatons to the NPC in order to win this mission.
Use the following emote commands to lead the automaton back to the NPC (you must have the automaton targeted when using them):
- /salute : to wake up the automaton
- /clap : to make the automaton follow you
- /hurray : to make the automaton fight a mob
- /goodbye : use this to dismiss the automaton once you reach the PUP NPC (automaton name will turn into green NPC text when sucessful)
Once you wake up an automaton, some wights pop nearby, typically on the path between you and the PUP NPC. You will need to lead the automaton, using the /clap command frequently, back to the PUP NPC at the spawn point. On the way, the automaton will stop with certain "ailments" that need to be "fixed" by using a specific emote command. Highly annoying.
To avoid the ailment/fixing issue, we used the following strategy:
- engage a wight and get hate on it.
- lead the wight to an automaton, wake up the automaton and have it attack the wight.
- while maintaining hate on the wight, lead the wight to the PUP NPC. The automaton will follow without experiencing any "ailments".
- kill the wight at the PUP NPC and then use the /goodbye command to dismiss the automaton.
The wights are pretty wimpy, but you may want to have a healer follow the person who is leading the wight/automaton to the NPC. I found that by subbing DNC (on SAM for Meditate TP), I could pretty much lead automatons to the NPC by myself using Curing Waltz.
