ClientSummary
Bki TbujhjaBki Tbujhja
(Merry Minstral Meadhouse, Lower Jeuno)

A certain post is rotated at the meadhouse. Now, it's your turn.

  • In order to trigger this quest, you must first be a Lv.50 BRD and have completed the BRD AF1 quest: Painful Memory.
  • NOTE: As with almost every other AF quest, once you activate it, you can switch to another job in order to finish it.
  • Talk with Bki Tbujhja (H-8) in the Merry Minstrel Meadhouse of Lower Jeuno.
  • She will ask you to bring her a single vial of Holy Water.
    • Holy Water:
      • Can be bought from the Auction House or from a handful of NPCs for around 7000 gil.
      • Alchemy Synthesis (Lv.51): x1 Light Crystal, x1 Distilled Water.
  • After trading her the Holy Water, she will return it to you and ask that you pour the contents of the flask on a stone sarcophagus in Eldieme Necropolis.
  • There are several entrances into Eldieme Necropolis from Batallia Downs, but the one that you're aiming for is located at (F-5) can only be reached by travelling through Beaucedine Glacier.
  • Hitch a Teleport-Vahzl or trek through Ranguemont Pass into Beaucedine Glacier. There, you will find the zone into Batallia Downs at (H-11).
  • Once inside Eldieme Necropolis, travel to (D-4); from the entrance, travel west, south, east and then north in the larger, round room and then east again into a room with five sarcophogus.
  • In this room there will also be four Blood Soul (Lv.52—Ghost) that will need to be cleared before continuing. If not, your low HP will aggro them during the upcoming NM fight. You may also have to defeat a couple of Tomb Wolf (Lv.55) on the stairs if they're close.
  • Save the TP that you get from clearing the monsters for the NM battle.
  • When your team is well-buffed and fed, use a Sneak Oil or cast Sneak on yourself; do this only if you're the Bard (i.e. the puller).
  • Have your party stay near the base of stairs. Go to the sarcophogas in the back of the room and trade it your Holy Water. Next, examine the same sarcophogas to spawn three notorious monsters.
  • If you are sneaked and the rest of your party is far enough back, none of the NMs will aggro. Take a few steps back and cast Dia on Yum Kimil to pull him. As I believe, he is the only one that needs to be defeated in order to complete the quest; however, differing reports indicate that any of the three can be killed.
  • All three NMs will remain spawned for one hour and fifteen minutes (Vana'diel time), so about 2 minutes and 45 seconds of real time.
  • In order to get the Sneak pull/despawn trick to work with multiple NM spawns, you will need to still be fighting one when the others despawn. If you kill Yum Kimil too fast and then have to wait for the other two to despawn, the trick won't work. Make sure you're still engaged with one when the other two dissapear.
    • NOTE: Once you've traded the Holy Water to the sarcophogas, you will never need to do it again. Examining the sarcophogas will result in either a "Nothing Happens" (if you still need to wait a little while before trying again) or respawn the NMs (until they are defeated).
  • Once you've defeated one of the three (or all three) NMs, re-examine the sarcophogus that you poured the Holy Water onto to initiate a cutscene.
  • You will receive the key item: Star Ring.
  • Head back to Lower Jeuno and speak with Bki Tbujhja again.
  • She will refuse to take the Star Ring and apologize profusely about the monsters you had to face in Eldieme Necropolis.
  • She will offer you the Choral Slippers in exchange for your hard work.
Reward: Choral Slippers
