Client	Summary
	Mertaire (Merry Minstrel Meadhouse, Lower Jeuno) Copy the lyrics from the ancient monument to a sheet of parchment.

• Level any job to 30.
• Talk with Mertaire (I-8) in the Merry Minstrel Meadhouse of Lower Jeuno.
• Next, talk with Bki Tbujhja (H-8), the blonde-haired mithra behind the counter.
• Finally, you can speak with Ruslan and Tuh Almobankha, patrons of the Merry Minstrel Meadhouse, for a bit more information about the location of the old monument.
• Purchase a sheet of Parchment from the Materials / Leathercraft section of the Auction House.
• Be careful not to accidently buy Bast Parchment (from the Materials / Woodworking section of the Auction House) as it is the incorrect item.
• Alternately, you can synth your own piece of Parchment if you're a level 31 leathercrafter. All you need is one dark crystal, one rolanberry, and one sheep leather.
• Or you can desynth Cornettes, which is a low low level woodworking(?) desynth. Lightining + Cornette NQ = parchment
• Supposedly, Pikini-Mikini, the little Tarutaru who works in the Mhaura Warehouse (G-9) can sell Parchment for 500 gil a sheet, but I forget which nation has to have control of Kolshushu in order for that to be possible.
• Travel to Buburimu Peninsula via chocobo, outpost, or teleportation. It would be wise, before you head out, to sub (or main) Black Mage or bring a scroll of instant warp so that you can return to Jeuno instantly after completeing the quest.
• Once in Buburimu, head to location (G-9) and enter a small cave located near the Khoonta Dunes beachfront. After exiting the cave, head northwest. There, you will find a Song Rune (F-9). Examine the Song Rune and you will be granted a cutscene.
• After the cutscene, trade the Parchment to the Song Rune to obtain the Poetic Parchment.
• The first step in the Bard quest is now complete.
