Teak Me to the Stars

This is the first in a three-part quest and probably the most difficult of the three; mostly because navigating Carpenter's Landing and Phanauet Channel is a pain in the arse.

The easiest way to get a piece of Garhada Teak Lumber is to have it drop off the Ooze that commonly spawns on the barge in Phanauet Channel. However, whoever was in charge of designing the Carpenter's Landing barge system should be dragged out into the street and severely tickled (to death). So, here's an easy way to increase your odds and cut out needless waiting:

Enter Carpenter's Landing around (J-8) of Jugner Forest. Once in Carpenter's Landing, make your way to the South Landing (J-10), purchase a barge ticket and wait for it to arrive. Once it arrives, board and prepare for departure. The Ooze should spawn near the beginning of the boat ride, so be on your toes (especially if you have competition).

If you kill the Ooze and it drops the teak lumber, congratulations, your job here is done! However, if it does not drop, get ready for a long run. The barge will let you off at the Central Landing (H-6) in Carpenter's Landing. Instead of waiting 30 minutes for another barge to arrive (not that it would take you anyway), head south and exit Carpenter's Landing at (F-10). This deposits you at the Maiden's Spring in Jugner Forest (E-6). Run back to the Carpenter's Landing entrance (J-8) and repeat the steps in the paragraph above.

If you're a fast runner and have a little luck on your side, you shouldn't have to wait more than a couple minutes for the next barge to arrive. This method cuts out all the needles waiting and can be infinity repeated until an Ooze spawns and drops the teak lumber.

I was able to get mine on the second Ooze (the second trip).

Supposedly, Garhada Teak Lumber also drops off Fishtraps in Carpenter's Landing. Fishtraps are monsters that are fished up from the water, but as to what fishing pole and bait is required to do this, I don't know.
