ClientSummary
Mashuu-Ajuu (Aurastery, Windurst Waters)Mashuu-Ajuu wants help with his horticulture homework assignment. He asks that you use "Herb Seeds" to grow something that will impress his classmates, such as a "Sobbing Fungus."

Trade a Deathball or a Sobbing Fungus, cultivated from a bag of Herb Seeds, to Mashuu-Ajuu. In order to grow these items, follow the steps below...

Your reward for completing someone else's homework is 700 gil and a Stationary set. The Stationary set is part of your Mog House quest; placing it in your Mog House means that your Moogle will eventually use the stationary set and write you Scop's Operetta, a Lv.19 Bard Scroll.

So, you want to grow a sobbing fungus, eh? Well, I'll try and help with this by imparting what little experience I have. When you get your herb seed, try to plant it on Thunder day. Once it comes time to feed your plant, give it a lightning crystal.

Gardening is hardly an exact science, so don't be surprised if you end up harvesting some rock salt or a few bulbs of mhuara garlic. Herb seeds are plentiful in Windurst country and are dropped often enough by saplings in Tahrongi.

As for the Deathball...repeat the above process with a dark crystal instead of a lightning. If you repeat the quest, you will only get the gil.
