Puppetmaster

Background information about the puppetmaster job can be found in the Exploring the Puppetmaster snip.

In order to unlock the puppetmster job, you must have a job at least level 30 and you must complete the quest: No Strings Attached.

Starting out at level one, your Automaton will have the Harlequin Frame model.

The number of elements on each frame piece denotes how many attachments you can equip of the corresponding element.

Note that Automaton Attachments have either a single, double, or triple elemental allotments. So, a Valoredge Frame can handle 2 single ice attachments, or 1 double ice attachment.

Head and Frame allotments combine to grant a total. An automaton can equip a maximum of 12 attachments. However, there are a total of 44 attachments.

You may mix/match any of your Head/Frames for a desired elemental combination such as Valoredge Head/Sharpshot Frame.
-Sheenee

You cannot have two or more of the same attachments on one Automaton. You're not allowed to double up.

Valoredge Frame X-900
Description:
  • The Valoredge X-900 is designed to allow the automaton to engage enemies in close combat with a razor-edged blade. Due to the armor plates that entirely cover the automaton's body, this frame can take a fair amount of damage without a scratch. A blade and shield complement this model quite well. Of the three varieties, the Valoredge X-900 is the most durable.

  • 1 chunk of Imperial cermet
  • 1 pair of tigerfangs (the level 66 hand-to-hand weapons, not the bonecraft items)
Sharpshot Z-500
Description:
  • The Sharpshot Z-500 is designed to allow the automaton to lend support from behind the puppetmaster in the form of carefully aimed crossbow arrows. This model is also characterized by its enhancement of nimble movements, adaptability, and high artificial intelligence. A mechanical crossbow complements this frame well. Of the three frames, the Sharpshot Z-500 can be used the most strategically in battle.

Stormwaker Y-700
Description:
  • The Stormwaker Y-700 was designed to allow the automaton to use magical spells. This model utilizes a type of artificial intelligence that endows the automaton with the ability to recall complex magical spells and determine which incantation is suitable for any given situation. Its headpiece also provides a certain amount of protection from magical attacks. Of the three models, the Stormwaker Y-700 is the most astute.
