Client	Summary
	Koru-Moru (Manor, Windurst Walls) (E-7) Professor Koru-Moru is currently engrossed in an experiment to create "something" out of "nothing." To get closer to the truth of alchemy, he wants you to track down an old "Thesis on Alchemy" for him.

First, talk to Koru-Moru at his home in Windurst Walls (E-7) to begin the quest.
Next, walk directly north of Koru-Moru's house and talk to Yoran-Oran at his Windurst Walls homestead (E-5).
Next, walk to Shantotto's Windurst Walls home (K-7) and speak with her.
Lastly, talk to Fuepepe at the Windurst Waters Aurastery (L-6).
Fuepepe will tell you to investigate the Acolyte Hostel (located directly north of the Aurastery) for further answers.
Examine the Hostel's six doors (Windurst Waters, K-5). Each time you examine a door, you will be asked a multiple choice question. You will have three possible answers. You must correctly answer all six of questions in order to proceed.

There are around 65 total "Quiz de Vana'diel" questions that range from amazingly easy to stupefying difficult. If you don't want to get any wrong and you don't know the correct answer, you can force quit out of Final Fantasy XI (Ctrl+Esc) and when you log back in and examine the door again, you will be asked a different question without (I think) penalization.
You can get a question wrong, but unless you get them all correct, you won't get an awesome parting gift (Vile Elixir). If you get one wrong, just talk to the door again and you'll be asked another question.
If you answer a "door's" question correctly, that door becomes firmly shut and you may move on to the next.

After you have answered all of the questions, examine the Hostel door at K-5 (this is the only door facing south) to get the essay in alchemy.
Return to Koru-Moru and present him with the essay.
Next, he will want you to find him a Warm Egg and a Cold Bone to complete his alchemy experiment. Here's where the fun begins.

The Warm Egg is dropped by Anemone (Level 51-54) in the Yhoator Jungle.
A Cold Bone can be dropped by Doom Soldiers (Level 61-66) at Cape Teriggan.

When you have procured these items, talk again with Koru-Moru.
After trading Koru-Moru the Warm Egg and Cold Bone, speak with him again the following day to get your 9000 gil reward.
