Mithra mannequin

The Mithra Mannequin can be procured if you are Mithran and have completed the It's Raining Mannequins quest.

The mannequin itself is kind of creepy; it just stands there and stares at you with its dead, dead, coal black eyes. It's a good thing I don't spend many nights in my hometown of Bastok, otherwise I wouldn't be able to get much sleep with that evil thing staring at me all night long. However, putting aside the mannequin's sheer creepiness, it adds a nice +7 to your overall moghouse storage capacity and you can dress it up however you please.

At first, I was confused on how to display armor and weapons on my mannequin. So here's an easy "how to" guide to explain how things are done:

  • First, place the mannequin in your moghouse as you would any other furniture.
  • Place any weapons or armor that you would like displayed on your mannequin into storage. They have to be in storage, mind you, and not in your mog safe.
  • Once the mannequin has been placed, talk to your Moogle and go to your Layout menu.
  • Using the arrow keys, find your mannequin and select it; a menu will appear. At the top of this menu will be an Equip selection.
  • Selecting Equip opens a equipment menu much like the one that you use to change your armor and weapons during the game. While you're in this menu, your mannequin will rise up off the floor, hover, and slowly spin around as you dress or undress it (this is eerie).
  • Keep in mind that when you exit the Equip menu, the direction that it's facing in its spin will determine what direction it will face in your moghouse
  • If you would like to completely undress your mannequin all at once, you can select the Unequip All button located in the Equip menu.
Sadly, you only have the option of dressing it with eight possible pieces: a main weapon, sub weapon (or shield), ranged weapon, head, body, hands, legs, and feet gear. There are no earrings, capes, rings, or belts accepted.

There is no way to access your mannequin from Jeuno (as with all storage) and there is no feature to quickly swamp outfits (that I'm aware of).
