Many of the more, um, active FFXI players have had dreams about the game...

8/13/04 Big Money
Serpentus, Esger and I (Naria) are in Cape Teriggan, on the beach, by the cave with the southern Valley of Sorrows entrance. We see another party weaken an HNM, but they all die before they can kill it. We sieze the opportunity to take it while it's a low health. Esger's jumps and a couple big spells from Serpentus finish it off. The result: "You get 179 Trillion gil" (that's exactly how it appears in my log in the dream game). What's odd is, in the dream, my ange is such that I never actually see the NM, I'm facing down (3rd-person view) and it's just off the screen. For some reason I know that it's an elvaan-shaped NM (like those undead monsters).

8/16/04 Giv Gov Gab
Mashengo Nuku and I (Naria) are in a party in konschtat highlands when Nuku and I spot a goblin NM called Giv Gov Gab. Well spot might not be right, it pops up between us. I can see it really clearly as Nuku provokes it. It has the model of the mercenary (in armor) type goblins. As we start fighting it, Mashemgo runs right past us. Nuku says something to the effect of "Hey Mash wake up! Over here." to get his attention. It's not a very difficult NM for us, however, and we kill it with melee attacks by the time Mash gets back to us. It drops a "Gean Key" and 76 gil. I ask them what they key is for, but the dream ends before they can answer. In the usual dream way, I somehow know that they don't know either, and that this NM was added in the last update, so it's new.
