Blue Ribbon Blues

First talk with Roberta, the old Hume woman at Nchaa's Good Goods (H-13, Windurst Woods). If your fame level is high enough, she will give you the Purple Ribbon. Next, talk with Kerutoto in the Rhinostery (J-8, Windurst Waters). He will trade you 3600 gil for the Purple Ribbon.

Wait one day (in earth hours) and return to Kerutoto. He is spooked by the Purple Ribbon and gives it back, asking you to destroy it. You don't have to give the 3600 gil back.

Enter Eldieme Necropolis from Batallia Downs at the southnern entrance. Once in Eldeime, head for the center of this large + shaped area and drop through the lone hole here. Um… then you will need to find the Human Remains, a small pile of bones with those little flame things hovering over it. Trade the Purple Ribbon to these Human Remains

Lich C Magnus will appear. Kill Lich C Magnus (Level 58). Lich C Magnus can cast the ancient magic of Quake, so have a mage there to silence him or a BLM to Stun. Be warned, earth elementals can spawn down here, if you're really unlucky.

Examine Human Remains again to get the Blue Ribbon

Note: If at any time you drop your Purple Ribbon, you may talk to Roberta again to start the quest from scratch.

Reward: 3600 gil and the Blue Ribbon… or you may keep the Purple Ribbon.
