<s:name>Fellowship NPC/July 23rd, 2005 through July 25th, 2005</s:name>
        <s:content>1 Mugido's journal - Page 2

{image:Fellowship NPC/050723fightinglvl30.jpg}\\
July 23rd, 2005 - What kind of sword and shield is he using? Looks like Spatha or something.

{image:Fellowship NPC/050723attacker31.jpg}\\
Woot! Level 31! Interesting body piece he got there...

{image:Fellowship NPC/050723attacker31.5.jpg}\\
Ah!  That's better. ^^

{image:Fellowship NPC/050723offerringpearl.jpg}
{image:Fellowship NPC/050723receivingingpearl.jpg}\\
This is what happens when you go to a Rendezvous Point without a Signal Pearl and scroll to the bottom. It lets you get another pearl once a day with the timer starting/ending at midnight JST (11:00 AM EDT/08:00AM PDT). If you wake up early, you can call your NPC three times in a row once and only once if you call it everyday. To help demonstrate, I made a sample {link:schedule.txt|http://www.koolaid-ffxi.org/linkshell/space/Fellowship+NPC/schedule.txt}...

As you can see, you get more xp faster if you go twice a day rather than three times a day every other day. But, if you miss a day due to real life stuff, then going three times on the next day makes up for the lost chance.  However, you do have to get up early to go 3 times in one day. ;;

{image:Fellowship NPC/050723attacker32.jpg}\\
Mugido after my first three times in a row session. He made it to level 32. ^^

{image:Fellowship NPC/050723weaponcutscene.jpg}\\
I talked with Luto after Mugido attained level 32 and she said the above.

I bought a {link:Butterfly Axe|http://ffxi.somepage.com/itemdb/375} for him. And when I gave it to Luto...
{image:Fellowship NPC/050723weaponcutscene2.jpg}\\
What does Luto mean by making sure "she" (as in Mugido) gets my gift?  Does Luto know something I don't... ;;

{image:Fellowship NPC/050724fightinglvl32.jpg}\\
July 24th, 2005 - Well, looks like Luto gave the Butterfly Axe to Mugido anyway... Man, he missed a lot. He probably needs to skill weapons like a PC does. He got better as we went along.

{image:Fellowship NPC/050724attacker32.5.jpg}\\
Another xp session gone by. What? Did he get {link:Leaping Boots|http://ffxi.somepage.com/itemdb/1351}?!!

{image:Fellowship NPC/050724standing32.5.jpg}\\
Maybe he did... But he still missed a lot.

{image:Fellowship NPC/050724oops.jpg}\\
I accidentally clicked him. But, I clicked him again before he despawned. Whew!

{image:Fellowship NPC/050724attacker33.jpg}\\
Level 33. But, a step back in body piece gear. Does dropping pearls have that effect or is it because he switched from sword to great axe? He got new pants though.

{image:Fellowship NPC/050725skillchain33.jpg}\\
July 25th, 2005 - One of our many skill chains. This was my first time seeing him use Armor Break however. What's really great is that NPCs wait until you have TP before using a weapon skill. I'm impressed that SE actually made them kind of smart.

{image:Fellowship NPC/050725attacker33.5.jpg}\\
This may seem like the same picture, but this is after our next session. Nothing changed after this session it seems. Other people are reporting armor retrogrades too. It seems to happen after they give Luto weapons to give to their NPCs.

{image:Fellowship NPC/050725attacker34.jpg}\\
I went to {link:Yhoator Jungle|http://ffxi.somepage.com/zonedb/31} with Edgetheninja and his healer style NPC named Nanako (forgot to take a screen shot).  We fought level 51-55 {link:Goblin Bouncer|http://ffxi.somepage.com/mobdb/1872} and {link:Goblin Hunter|http://ffxi.somepage.com/mobdb/1871} near Ifrit's Cauldron.  This was the first time I wished Mugido was a healer type.  When Mugido despawned I was left with 134 hp and Nanako wouldn't heal me.  Maybe she just likes Edge better...  ;;

At least Mugido has better gear again. d:

Don't worry Edge. I'll get some screen shots of us and our NPCs tomorrow. Okay? Stop pouting...

One thing I noticed about Edge's NPC is that she casted a lot of needless spells like Silence on non-mage mobs. Seems like the Attacker AI is "smarter" than the Healer AI.</s:content>
