Shadows of the Departed

Client	Summary
	Esha'ntarl (Audience Chamber, Ru'Lude Gardens) (H-7) Strange readings have been recorded from the Emptiness surrounding the mothercrystals. Travel to the crags of Holla, Dem, and Mea and investigate the coordinates where this phenomenon is occurring.

I have a sneaking suspicion that this quest and the one that follows it were actually created in order to temp the majority of players into finishing the Rise of the Zilart missions; especially since most people either a) stop after getting access to Tu'Lia or b) stop after getting an earring from the Divine Might BCNM. That's a shame though, really, because the final Zilart battle with Eald'narche is actually quite fun.

• After you have completed Storms of Fate, you must wait until JP midnight in order to trigger this quest.
• Make your way to the Auroral Palace in Ru'Lude Gardens. If you've met all the prerequisites for this quest (see the bottom of the page), you should receive an automatic cutscene at about (H-7).
• You will talk with Esha'ntarl for a bit and she will give you the key item: Note written by Esha'ntarl.
• This note has three coordinates written on it:
• Promyvion—Holla (J-10)
• Promyvion—Dem (K-4)
• Promyvion—Mea (K-6)
• Lug out your Lv.30 equipment and prepare yourself for a return trip down memory (and Promyvion) lane.
• Before you head out, make sure that you have some of the basic necessities: the ability to Warp or a Scroll of Instant Warp, and most definitely a Reraise Earring. You never know when a stray empty will wander into your aggro range and ruin your day; catching you with your Reraise down.
• On the fourth floor of each Promyvion is a Memory Flux. You may remember these from some of your first experiences in Promyvion; they are those brightly glowing 'doors' that never seemed to do anything. Well, now they are each home to a specific key item that you must retrieve.
• You can either go with your linkshell, go with a random group doing the missions or ENMs, or you can just be sneaky and follow a group up that's doing any of the former.
• However you end up going, you must get to the fourth floor of Promyvion—Dem, Promyvion—Mea, and Promyvion—Holla (yes, all three).
• At the previously provided coordinates, you will find a Memory Flux; examining each of these (one for each of the three starting Promyvions), you will receive the following key items:
• Promyvion - Mea sliver
• Promyvion - Holla sliver
• Promyvion - Dem sliver
• Once you have obtained all three key items, return to Ru'Lude Gardens and you will again be granted an automatic cutscene as you enter the Auroral Palace.
• After an interesting cutscene, Esha'ntarl will take all three of your hard-earned your 'slivers' and ask you to return when you are more prepared (i.e. the next JP midnight).

Prerequisites for Shadows of the Departed

• All of the Rise of the Zilart missions must be completed.
• This includes the cutscenes in Norg and Lower Jeuno (Aldo).
• Beating the Ark Angels through Divine Might is not necessary.
• All of the Chains of Promathia missions must be completed.
• This includes all of the cutscenes detailed in the My Three Rings quest.
• You must have defeated Bahamut during the Storms of Fate quest.
