ClientSummary
 Bhoy Yhupplo
(Aht Urhgan Whitegate) (L-9)

To increase production of special nighttime camouflage, the Imperial marines require large quantities of a secretion from a rare cephalopod known as the ahtapot, found in the Ilrusi Atoll.

Time Limit:
30:00

AP Reward:
3000

Recommended Setup:
Regular exp setup, tank, mage, mage, dd, dd, dd.

Recommended Gear:
At least 3 of your party members should have a fishing rod and lure (any type).

Other Recommendations:
It'll help if your party has at least one person with some fishing skill (i.e.--greater than 20).

Strategy (per Mashengo):

Tag the npc at the start and have your 3 fisherman fish by the nearby cliff. After fishing up and killing 4-5 monsters (various monsters will be crab, fish and kraken type mobs).

Talk to the npc again and then split up. Nothing aggro's here, so fan out and talk to all the npc fisherman in the zone. Each will tell you how their day is going. Find the npc text this is not like all the others (the npc having a good day).

As soon as you find the right npc, start fishing nearby him (even if you're still waiting for party members to catch up). And try and fish up Ahtapot. If you fish up other mobs 4-5 times, tag the fisherman npc again as his good day can turn into a crappy one. If this happens, they will usually give you a direction or area where they think fishing might be better. Go there and continue trying to fish up Ahtapot.

Time is of the essence here as it will take you good 5mins or so to kill Ahtapot. He has the regular Orbon moves, which includes sleepga. After you kill orbon, the person with the killing hit will have the key item that they must take back to the starting npc. Only then will the rune of release appear.

Notes: (Kanah)

We tried fishing near the start NPC for our first run, then spread out looking for the fishing NPCs. Unfortunately, we hadn't fished up enough mobs to trigger the new NPC messages, and, being spread out, had a couple of deaths while fishing up more mobs and ultimately ran out of time while fighting the Ahtapot because of the slow start.

The second run, we all went to the first fishing NPC, fished up and killed mobs while checking the fishing NPC after each mob for the new messages. This worked out much better and we finished with plenty of time to spare.

As an aside, be careful of the kraken mobs. They can do a lot of damage, including AOE. Make sure you've got enough healing and MP regen in your PT.
